Report favorable for the migration of local elected officials

The administrative and legal committees of the Chamber of Deputies gave a favorable report, a short time ago, to the Government Emergency Ordinance which allows migration of local elected officials, without them losing their mandate. According to the ordinance, within 45 days of the entry into force of the document, the local officials may express in writing and only once their option on the political party, organization of national minorities they want to be members of or to become independent, without losing position gained in elections. Opposition lawmakers voted against the emergency ordinance, stating that it was unconstitutional and violated the principle of equality.

László Tökés supports the autonomy of Székely Land

During his one minute intervention, allotted in the plenary session of the European Parliament, on Monday night in Strasbourg, László Tökés , European parliamentarian from the Fidesz Party, expressed his support for the autonomy Székely Land. According to the MP, Hungarians in Romania unanimously support the territorial autonomy of Székely Land, while the Romanian parties and even the Romanian Government itself strongly oppose any form of self-determination of minorities, and "much of the media that promotes anti-Hungarian propaganda in the press continues a campaign against the community's aspirations by the Hungarian community, consisting of half a million of members ".

Press conference dedicated to the International Festival of Radio Orchestras - RadiRo

The symphony radio orchestras from Finland, Prague and Stuttgart, as well as the National Orchestra of France are participating in the RadiRo Festival, for the first time in Bucharest. They will perform together with the National Radio Orchestra, also the host of the only event of its kind in Europe. The announcement was made at a press conference in the Radio Hall foyer. The second edition of RadiRo Festival, organized by the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Company, will run from September 20th to 27th and it will bring together five radio orchestras, famous soloists and conductors.
