UDMR will finish this week collecting signatures for Kelemen Hunor’s candidacy to the Presidency of Romania, and the lists of supporters will be submitted on September 22nd the Central Election Bureau. The announcement was made by the President of UDMR in the city of Deva. Kelem Hunor spoke about his projects. Kelemn Hunor: We’ll have a country project, Romania's role in the region is an extremely important fact, Romania’s role in the EU is important, Romania’ s safety and the safety of our citizens are important, and I am convinced that our answers will be highly structured, reasoned and fair.

Spontaneous strike at TAROM

A spontaneous protest by Tarom pilots, dissatisfied with their salaries, has led so far to the cancellation of seven domestic and international flights, as well as disrupting the entire flight schedule of the company. The spontaneous strike by the pilots and copilots started yesterday, a day in which there were 12 flights delayed and two canceled. A union leader says it was not an industrial action, and the pilots who did not carried out the flight were not able to fly. Transport Minister Ioan Rus has called for discussions the Tarom management representatives, and the representatives of trade unions in order to ease the situation.

A new landslide occurred in the Danube Gorge

A new landslide occurred in the Danube Gorge this evening and the traffic was blocked on the National Road No 6. Two trailers were trapped by a wave of mud from the hill bordering the road.
