Prime Minister Victor Ponta admitted that he will most likely be the candidate for the presidential elections on behalf of PSD, UNPR and PC. "I have a project and I go into this battle just to bring this project to the end", said Victor Ponta. Romanian Prime Minister also said that he intends to announce the name of the premier that he supports, from the position of presidential candidate, after the first round of elections. Mister Ponta believes that Elena Udrea will run on behalf of the Popular Movement Party and not Cristian Diaconescu. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

Police officers suspend the protests announced for today, said the president of The National Trade Union of Policemen and Contractual Personnel, Toader Paraschiv, after the talks he had with the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Interior, Florea Oprea. Promises were made to police officers that their claims will be presented to Deputy Prime Minister, Gabriel Oprea, mainly those regarding the payments. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

The number of young people affected by neurological diseases has increased in the last 20 years

In Romania, the number of young people affected by neurological diseases, such as multiple sclerosis, or Parkinson's disease, has increased in the last 20 years. Cases of stroke are more common in people under 30. Stress, insufficient rest, or wrong diets are some of the factors which favor the appearance of these disorders, said the president of the Romanian Society of Neurology, Dafin Muresanu. He also stressed that tendency to eat quickly and eating meals from fast food restaurants would be a start of negative behavior. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
