Romania supports "very committed" Italian EU presidency priorities and shares the objectives of a "stronger and more integrated" Europe, says Romanian foreign minister, Titus Corlatean.The statement was made during a joint press conference, with the Italian ambassador in Bucharest, Diego Brasioli, held today at the launch of the rotating Italian presidency of the European Union Council. Referring to the results of recent European elections, marked by the rise of extremist and eurofobe currents, Titus Corlatean appreciated the need for ways to prevent the erosion of the European project to support the rights and freedoms that it assumes.
