Referring to the results of recent European elections, marked by the rise of extremist and eurofobe currents, Titus Corlatean appreciated the need for ways to prevent the erosion of the European project to support the rights and freedoms that it assumes.

Romanian Government has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Education to organize the first annual conference "Romanian Language in the World". The event will be held in Arizona, United States, from 9 to 13 October. According to a press release, the decision that the first conference to be held at Arizona State University takes into account many factors, including the existence and functioning from 2011 of a Romanian language lectureship and the representative number of students applying for the program "Romanian language", over 200 in this academic year, the largest number of students in existing Romanian lectorates.
