Romania's exports reached a record high last year, reaching almost 50 billion euros. Even if cars, electrical equipment, or food products were required on foreign markets, experts gathered yesterday at a special forum stressed that Romania still has many areas with untapped potential. One of these is energy, said Minister of Economy. Minister Delegate for Romanians Abroad asked about the health of Romanian assaulted near Paris

Minister Delegate for Romanians Abroad, Bogdan Stanoevici, made a visit to the hospital in Paris where a Romanian teenager is hospitalized, who was assaulted last week in a place near the French capital. According to a press release from the Foreign Ministry, the Romanian official was received by the physician in charge of the surgical intensive care, who told him about the medical situation of the teenager. As communicated, his condition is serious, being in a deep coma and for the moment the vital risk hypothesis can not be ruled out. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

Romania still has a low purchasing power

Romania and Bulgaria had the lowest prices in the European Union last year, with a level below 60% of the European average - according to data published in Brussels. The population in Eastern Europe pays much less on food, alcohol or tobacco, while on clothing and electronics the differences are not so important, according to Eurostat.
