Mircea Dusa and Chuck Hagel visited USS Vella Gulf

The security situation in the region has changed dramatically, said yesterday, in Constanta, Romanian Defence Minister, Mircea Dusa, who specified that Romania appreciates the political and military efforts made by allies both at NATO level, and bilaterally. He met yesterday with Pentagon chief, Chuck Hagel. The two visited the USS Vella Gulf, which arrived in Constanta Port and Mircea Dusa noted the increased presence in the area of allied air and naval forces. "We welcome American warships in the Black Sea", said Mircea Dusa, "which enable the deployment of joint exercises with our naval forces and which contribute to the sense of security in this area". In turn, Chuck Hagel said that Romania is a trusted partner of the United States and President Barack Obama greatly appreciates the support and friendship of our country. Romanian population decreased

Romanian population decreased, last year, for the first time since 1989, under 20 million inhabitants, announced the The National Institute of Statistics.
