According to Washington administration, Joe Biden is to reassure Romania and the neighboring states of the U.S support, and he will address, also, issues related to energy security. The American official will have separate meetings with President Traian Basescu and the Prime Minister Victor Ponta.

Romania will not enter into a new agreement with the IMF after 2015

Romania will not enter into a new agreement with the IMF, the European Commission and the World Bank after 2015 - Liviu Voinea, Minister delegated for Budget, announced. He said, yesterday, at "Issues of the Day" show on Radio Romania News, that this way, Romania would give a signal that it had a consolidated economy. Liviu Voinea: It was an agreement of 20 billion euros in 2009, and the money was taken. Another agreement of 5 billion in 2011, the money was not taken and it was preventive. Another agreement in 2013, 4 billion, the IMF and the European Commission, again the money was not taken, but it was a preventive agreement, for stability, acting like an anchor. The crisis is over. Why would you need another agreement? This is, for sure, the last agreement with the IMF and the European Commission.

Over 5,800 Green House Program beneficiaries receive funding

Over 5,800 Green House Program beneficiaries will receive funding this week. It is about those who submitted their applications between June 1st - July 15th , 2011. During the same period there were filed almost 24,000 files and so far over 14,000 have been reviewed. Green House Program means funding for legal and physical entities for the installation of heating systems using renewable energy.

Danube flash flood might reach Romania on May 25th

The flash flood on the Danube might reach Romania on or around May 25th , experts say. Therefore, the Orange Code of floods in has been established in the areas close to the river, and Yellow Code in the downstream regions. Flood quotas were exceeded, yesterday, at five hydrometric stations. The warnings are valid until May 26th at 6 p.m.
