Complaints submitted by the President and Prime Minister at the Constitutional Court

President Traian Basescu has notified the Constitutional Court concerning a possible constitutional conflict in the relationship with Prime Minister Victor Ponta. The notification follows the refusal by the Prime Minister to countersign a series of decrees on decorating Romanian cultural personalities who led the Romanian Cultural Institute during 2005-2012. The Constitutional Court Chairman Augustin Zegrean announced that the complaint will be considered by the Court on May 21st . Yesterday, the Prime Minister Victor Ponta filed a complaint to the Constitutional Court with regard to the possible involvement of President Traian Basescu in the election campaign.

The first edition of GAUDEAMUS Book Fair in Oradea

The event will take place from May 7th to 11th in the exhibition pavilion located inside a park and marks a premier in terms of the organizational formula , as it is the first time when the local authorities are involved as co -organizers in conducting a book fair from Gaudeamus series . Gaudeamus Oradea is the newest component of a nation-wide project that Radio Romania is running for 20 years - READING program - which currently includes two book fairs organized in Bucharest - Gaudeamus International Fair (20 editions) and Gaudeamus School Book Fair (11 editions) and other four , reunited in Gaudeamus Caravan , performed in traditional cultural centers (Cluj- Napoca - 15 editions, Craiova - 13 editions, Constanta - Mamaia - 5 editions and Oradea) . The official opening of the first edition of Oradea GAUDEAMUS takes place on Wednesday, May 7 , at 12:00 a.m.
