Premier Ponta about convening a meeting of the Supreme Council of National Defense

Prime Minister Victor Ponta said, last night, that if the President would not convene a meeting of the Supreme Council of National Defense on the situation in Ukraine , then he would do it as Vice-President of the Council. The Prime Minster has announced that he will begin, today, with Government members, a review of the Ukrainian crisis.

Victor Ponta: Romania is not directly threatened , but our obligation is to be extremely careful and coordinated with all our allies. I think this responsibility involves some constitutional structures and any question about Romania’s security, the security of the region , about our strategy jointly with our transatlantic and European allies can only be discussed in the Supreme Council of National Defense . The last meeting of the Supreme Council of National Defense was on March 27th , a month and a half ago, but the situation in Ukraine is changing every day.

Government aims to increase employment, pensions and allowances from January 1st , 2015

The Government intends to make Romanians also feel the economic growth of the last year by 3.5 percent. In this context, the Executive plans to increase number of jobs, pensions and allowances from the 1st of January 2015.

Campaign to promote electronic health records starts today

The campaign to promote electronic health records starts today. This is a project of the National House of Health Insurance, conducted with European funding. Electronic health records will store all the information in the medical history of each individual, from vaccines to blood tests, chronic diseases, surgical interventions, treatments administered or allergies. Only the patient and the physician will have access to the record and there is an application that shows you who last used de file. So far, over 130,000 records have been completed, connecting to the system over 50 hospitals and 3,000 physicians.
