President Traian Basescu asks Russian Federation to return to the commitments made in international institutions and to help stabilize the situation in the region. He believes that discussing the internationally recognized frontiers is inadmissible and it directly affects with the same stability at regional level. In a statement published on Presidency's website on Russian President Vladimir Putin claims, Traian Basescu also states that Romania is ready to support appropriate solutions at the request of the Republic of Moldova to ensure the free movement under the law and the European rules for citizens and companies in the breakaway Transnistria region (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

Romania sent to Brussels the draft partnership agreement for the new financial year 2014 - 2020

Infrastructure, competitiveness and human capital - are some of Romania's priorities submitted in the draft partnership agreement for the new financial year 2014 - 2020, already sent to Brussels. Minister of European funds, Eugen Teodorovici, said that the document contains a short list to finance our country's objectives, in accordance with the community ones. At the same time, Eugen Teodorovici expressed his belief that Romania will receive, by the end of next year, a sufficient amount of the 10 billion euros out of the current financial framework 2007 - 2013. Romania proves to be a respected and reliable partner of NATO and the United States, said Prime Minister Victor Ponta at the closing ceremony of a Romanian-American military exercise at Campia Turzii. The Prime Minister added that our country provides both well trained military and a political class and a society that support decisions taken at transatlantic level. Victor Ponta stressed that Romania, as a member of NATO and the European Union, benefits from a safe position in the current international context. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
