During his private two day visit to Israel Prime Minister Victor Ponta was received by President Shimon Peres

Romanian Prime Minister, Victor Ponta, was received, at the presidential residence in Jerusalem, by President Shimon Peres. Referring to bilateral relations, according to the daily "Jerusalem Post", Romanian Prime Minister told President Shimon Peres that Israel can rely on the partnership with Romania, adding that he would return soon with an official delegation, whose members will discuss a number of agreements with Israeli counterparts. Mister Peres said that Israel's relationship with Romania is a unique one, because it is the only country in the former communist bloc that did not alter the relations in 1967. Referring to the crisis in Ukraine and the degree of instability in the region, Victor Ponta said that Romania is economically stable "in a favorable political and diplomatic position as a member of NATO and the European Union".

American combat aircraft F-16 will be involved in exercises in Romanian national airspace

American combat aircraft F-16 will arrive in Romania, next week, to participate in exercises in Romanian national airspace and they will remain here for quite a long time. Romanian Defence Minister Mircea Dusa is the one who made this announcement, yesterday. But Mircea Dusa did not specify how many aircraft will come, or how long they will be present in Romania. However, Romanian minister said that the Romanian authorities requested the deployment of U.S. and NATO fighter squadrons in Romania until our F-16 squadron will become operational, in 2017. Earlier, in context of Ukraine, the United States sent F-16 and F-15 aircraft in Poland and in the Baltic countries too.

Rovana Plumb: Government wants a real increase in the number of employees

Labour Minister, Rovana Plumb, said that the government wants a real increase in the number of employees with at least 400,000 by 2016. Rovana Plumb also said that efforts are made to remove nearly one million jobs from the black and gray economy. Romanian minister explained that these goals, assumed by the executive through the governance program, can be carried out through increased controls, to detect black market labour, reducing fiscality and by providing incentives for companies that hire youths or unemployed. In context, Rovana Plumb spoke about the social economy law, at which the executive is working and under which jobs could be created in this area.
