Romanian Foreign Minister on a visit to Chisinau

The Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean is expected in Chisinau . He will coordinate jointly with his counterpart, Natalia Gherman, the work of the Romania - Republic of Moldova Intergovernmental Commission for the European integration. A particular attention will be attached to the implementation of the Association Agreements and Free Trade that the Republic of Moldova is going to sign with the European Union. Thematic working groups will tackle the rule of law, home affairs, agriculture, veterinary and food safety areas, as well as the legislative harmonization. Bilateral documents on the audiovisual, veterinary and justice will be signed. Regarding the audiovisual retransmission of program services by the public broadcasters. The Intergovernmental Commission supports concrete projects and exchange of experience, Moldova’s European course under the action plan for the implementation of the joint declaration on establishing a strategic partnership between Romania and Moldova. During his visit to Chisinau , the Romanian diplomat is scheduled to meet with the President Nicolae Timofti , Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, Parliament Speaker Igor Corman , as well as the Foreign Minister Natalia Gherman.

Government will return four cents out of the 7 cents representing the fuel excise

The Government will reimburse, every quarter, four cents to the carriers, out of the 7 cents representing excise on fuel, which will be introduced tomorrow. The Prime Minister said last night on Romania TV channel that the measure would be passed on Wednesday at the Government meeting , and this would be for the benefit of licensed carriers only . The National Union of Road Fright Forwardes from Romania is still supporting further additional fuel excise refund also for passenger transportation companies , not only for freight ones. In a statement issued, the carriers have said that the application of the extended measures would maintain the current costs for the passengers.

Romania has the best allies in terms of national security

Romania has the best allies in terms of national security – the Presidential Adviser Iulian Fota said yesterday on Radio Romania News. He added that this was guaranteed by NATO. Iulian Fota spoke, also, about the missile defense shield that the United States were building in Deveselu. He explained that the work was conducted as scheduled and there was no delay.
